Problem Definitions & Solutions |
1. You are having a range problem. Try moving the antenna to a better location. Make sure it is not wrapped around anything steel. You might also try new batteries in the transmitter if it is more than a year old.
2. Your problem is in the transmitter. If only one or two buttons fails to light up, the problem is not the batteries. You will have to call for a replacement. If all three buttons fail to light, it is probably the batteries. Call if batteries do not correct the problem.
3. The problem is probably not in the remote. Make sure you have a good ground going to the receiver. Check your wiring. Post 86 & 87 should have 12+V on all relays. Also make sure your power window switches are wired exactly how the diagram show. You can get diagrams by clicking here. Specialty window switches work the same as GM.
4. Your transmitter probably needs re-coded. Click here for coding instructions. Also check your ground wires on the actuators and the receiver. |
5. If the red LED stays on all the time when the unit is powered up, the receiver is shorted and must be replaced. If it fails to light at all, you have a bad ground or the unit is shorted. |
