Problem Definitions & Solutions

1. You are having a range problem. Try moving the white antenna to a better location. Make sure it is not wrapped around anything steel. You might also try new batteries in the transmitter if it is more than a year old.

2. Your problem is in the transmitter. If only one button fails to light up, the problem is not the batteries. You will have to call for a replacement. If both buttons fail to light, it is probably the batteries. Call if batteries do not correct the problem.

3.The problem is probably not in the remote. Make sure you have a good ground going to the receiver. Test your actuators by placing a hot and ground directly to the back of the actuators. If they fail to actuate, call for a replacement. If they do actuate, reconnect them in the door and place a hot wire on the green and yellow wires. This will test the wire between the remote and actuators. Check your wiring. Do not hold power on the actuators for more than 7 seconds or they will burn out.

4. Your transmitter probably needs re-coded.  Click here for coding instructions. Also check your ground wires on the actuators and the receiver.

5. If the red LED stays on all the time when the unit is powered up, the receiver is shorted and must be replaced. If it fails to light at all, you have a bad ground or the unit is shorted.
